We are excited to welcome João Franco to the lab. João is a Ph.D. student in Complex Systems & Data Science at UVM, joining us as a collaborator alongside the Computational Ethics Lab. His research explores belief dynamics: how beliefs form and evolve, and how algorithmic, psychological, and social factors shape these processes. Before Vermont, João worked with the Social Physics & Complexity Lab on an ERC-funded project investigating algorithmic biases in search engines and large language models. Welcome João!
