Dr. Sam Rosenblatt graduates!

July 18th, 2024

We are thrilled to announce that Sam Rosenblatt has successfully defended his Ph.D. in Computer Science on July 18th. Sam’s dissertation, “Pragmatic interventions against epidemics on networks”, addressed crucial issues related to controlling contagion spread in complex systems, combining network science, agent-based models, and computational social science. As a QuEST trainee, Sam’s interdisciplinary work has advanced our understanding of how interventions can be effectively designed under real-world constraints.

In addition to his research, Sam has been deeply involved in scientific communication and outreach, serving as the Outreach Officer and one of the founders of the Society of Young Network Scientists (SYNS). His dedication to making science accessible and engaging has left a lasting impact on the lab and the broader scientific community. Sam is now a Research Scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Congratulations, Sam, on this outstanding achievement! We look forward to seeing the difference you’ll make in your new role.
