May 8th, 2026

Huge news! Laurent Hébert-Dufresne has been awarded the 2026 Erdős–Rényi Prize by the Network Science Society. It is the field's top honor for young researchers, recognizing exceptional contributions to network science. The announcement highlights his "foundational contributions to the theory of contagion on complex networks, illuminating how network structure, higher-order interactions, and nonlinear transmission mechanisms shape the spread of diseases, behaviors, and ideas." The award will be presented at NetSci 2026 this coming June. Laurent follows in the footsteps of friend-of-the-lab Antoine Allard, who won last year. An incredible and very well-deserved recognition — congratulations Laurent!!
