We are excited to announce that John Meluso, who has been the Sloan VERSO Postdoctoral Fellow for Systems, Organizations, and Inclusion, is moving to a new position at Cornell Systems Engineering. During his time at UVM, John made significant contributions to network science, systems engineering, and organizational culture, all while being a passionate advocate for inclusivity and collaboration.

John’s ability to blend technical expertise with an understanding of social dynamics has been essential to the success of numerous projects, including his work on thriving open source communities in Africa. His recent publications, including those on team structure and collective performance, have shaped discussions on how organizations can operate more effectively and inclusively.

In his new role as an Ezra Systems Postdoctoral Associate at Cornell, John will continue his work on how networks, communication, and social psychology influence collaboration, under the mentorship of Dr. Oliver Gao.
